I’m very excited about this site!! I’ve accumulated much STUFF in 37 years of marriage and it seems to be taking over!! Haven’t started because I don’t know where to, sure you’ve heard this before. It isn’t in the genes, my mother is a clean/neatness freak to the max. HELP

My office gets very cluttered. I’m trying to work as a freelance fundraiser and grantwriter, so my time is my own, and all the discipline of organizing and keeping the office cleared up and operable is up to me. Sometimes I do big fundraisers and then afterwards my whole apartment is cluttered in every room with parts of the project. I want to hear from others who have organized a small office, maybe a 2-person office, that have a daily system that is easy enough to follow that even in the heat of battling thru a huge special project, the basics get covered. I think the clutter my be mostly in my head, like a creation that keeps me from being as effective as I could be. Every piece of paper that has people’s names on it, even newspaper articles related to my work, feel like valuable sources of contacts so I file these in a foot-thick file labeled “contacts” and I swear, I can’t even find my own brother’s phone number today. I need a system and will submit to anything!

I’m a new Army wife with NO military knowledge! I want to organized just like the Army so my husband won’t get upset because he can’t find anything. When I was single, I knew where everything was but with his stuff and mine, I don’t have a clue. I’m tired of him getting mad at me because he says I have no organizational skills. Help me!!
