Yet, deep inside your mind, you have already been taking notice of the incessant clutter that’s been stealing your home space discretely behind your back.
Now, are you tired of tiptoeing around your own house just because you can’t walk around blindfolded without stepping or crashing into something that’s littered around your living room or bedroom, then maybe it’s time for you to stop the clutter invasion. It’s been an ongoing silent war raging inside your home with you as the unwitting victim.
Digging deeper into the roots of this problem shows that the culprit to the annoying situation is you. Surprised? Maybe you can take a look in a mirror and ask yourself questions like “I am putting back stuff in their right places?” or “am I buying and collecting too much stuff which I can live without?” You would be surely surprised over your answers.
Recognizing the source of clutter around your home is a big step in the right direction. The next thing for you to do is get yourself some helpful tips which will help you stop clutter in your casa. Read on.
1. Be a shop-wise. When doing shopping, it would be helpful if you stick to buying the stuff that you really need. Cheap prices and fancy looks aren’t enough to give you an alibi to buy stuff you don’t really need. Sticking to buying essentials will help stop clutter.
2. Don’t be a bargain-whore. Stacking up “on-sale” during shopping would definitely produce a lot of clutter for you. Most of these items are surely going to end up being stashed in the attic or some cabinet down the cellar.
3. Use reusable bags. Plastic bags and other packaging materials we often accumulate when we do shopping are a major source of clutter at home. Using reusable bags will stop clutter and even make you show a little concern for the environment.
4. Borrowing is not taboo. Don’t be shy to knock once in a while to a neighbor or a friend to borrow something you don’t usually or rarely use. Doing so will help you not buy an item you surely wouldn’t want to collect dust in your cabinet. Just don’t make borrowing a habit.
